Best Agrolife gets Indian patent for fungicidal composition

October 31, 2022: Best Agrolife, a BSE-listed company, announced that its subsidiary had received a patent from the Indian government to cover the fungicidal composition of three fungicides.

Seedlings India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has been granted the patent by the Indian Patent Office for 20 years commencing from November 17, 2021.

The invention was entitled ‘A synergistic fungicidal composition comprising of Cyazofamid, Dimethomorph, and Difenoconazole.’

The Difenoconazole patent aims to cover the fungicidal composition of cyazofamid, dimethomorph, and downy mildew.

According to a BSE filing, it will emerge as a highly effective crop solution against Late Blight and in tomato and grapes crops.

Difenoconazole is a broad-spectrum fungicide used as a spray or for seed treatment. Cyazofamid, another fungicide, controls oomycete plant pathogens which cause late blight in potatoes.

Dimethomorph is a fungicide with a systemic function for treating mildew and root rot.

The agrochemical pesticide manufacturer supplies insecticides, fungicides and herbicides in India.
